These are multisession disks. You can upgrade to 3.301 or search the forum ("multisession") for alternate methods

Hoster 3.301 will allow you to import the last track on Multisession discs.

Multisession is a different format than streight CDG discs. It is not something you can turn on or off. The disc is manufactured with an additional data track to try to prevent copying or importing into a computer.

As mindonstrike pointed out, you can search for other Threads here addressing how to import the last track on a multisession disc. It is cumbersome. Given your questions here, buy the 3.301 upgrade and import the tracks directly into Hoster as you want to do. Otherwise, you will go through many complex steps.

Beavis February 13th, 2006 06:57 PM

happnine February 13th, 2006 07:24 PM

Are you sure we're not talking about Microstudio?
Assuming we are talking Hoster try clicking the "multisession" button on the import screen.

happnine February 13th, 2006 08:29 PM

from the import screen i hit import tracks, import cd,select brand , disk ID, next, ad disk to import tracks, the the tracks show up, all but the last on the disk, the multisession button is red, i tried turning it off it still comes on when impoting.:m

Beavis February 13th, 2006 08:33 PM

what cd-rom do you have?

happnine February 13th, 2006 08:45 PM

all brands are doing the same DKG , Music Maestro,JVC, RCA everyone i've tried so far

happnine February 13th, 2006 08:46 PM

sony CD-RW CRX140E

mindonstrike February 14th, 2006 06:06 AM

Hmmm... Very strange. None of those brands use Multisession.

Does Windows Explorer and other programs see all of the tracks?

Also try having a cdg in the cdrom before opening Hoster and see if that has any effect.

happnine February 14th, 2006 10:41 AM

yes windows media will play all tracks

MTUSUPPORT February 14th, 2006 01:30 PM

The only time that I have seen this happen is when the drive itself will not read the Multisession track, or the last track.

But if Windows Explorer will read it, then Hoster should also read it and show the track.

happnine February 14th, 2006 01:58 PM

But these disks are not multi session and it still comes up as multisession no matter what disk I put in very confusing for a "newbie" do I need an upgrade or change a setting?..........:f

MTUSUPPORT February 15th, 2006 10:35 AM

Just ignore the Multisession button.

This is just how it is working currently. It seems to turn on whenever there is a disc in the drive.

last track not their in hoster

New at this myself. Is that last track realy a song? Sound choice Chartbusters and other brands put a extra track on ther disk but it is not a song. It is just their data.

If their are only 16 songs listed on the lable, that track #17 is not a song.

If their are 16 songs listed and you only get tracks 2 or 13 or 15 or 8 ect. check your drive. Mine was defective and the company is sending me a new one. Check your manual for a self check procedure for your drive.

If the 16 songs are listed on the lable and you cant copy #16 get the Hoster 3.301 upgrade.
