reimporting from hard drive

My case: Track number 15 on disc ID 405 (which has been previously labelled as BookID root 405) needs to be reimported as it didnt come out very well although it plays in a player okay. I have cleaned it twice and retried. Something doesnt like it. I have a good bin file of it on a hard drive folder I would like to reimport it from. So, I rename that file 405-15-title-artist. I then "add file". But it doesn't let me import as it says "book ID already in use, use another book ID".
This is strange because my whole purpose is to keep the book ID's the same as the Disc ID's. Now disc ID 405 will correspond with book ID 405 for the first 14 tracks, but the 15th track will be another book ID. Then my book id's won't match my disc ID's for that one track. NReel , you have been a big help so far in this category can you help me again?

My BIG question is : How do I get track #15 back to book ID 40515 as it originally is now(the bad copy).

Will I have to customize another complete disc with 15 songs on it and make it the 15th one,and reimport from a good disc. Sounds like the long way?
