MPEG files not working in Demo

I tried to play an mpeg file tonight in the Demo but only saw the video on the laptop screen and could not move it over to the secondary TV monitor side like I can with any other open file. Is there something I need to do to make the videos play on the monitor screens. The video is actually immovable, but it can be resized? Actually, how does that new video feature supposed to work and what are all the advantages of having one?

why dont you break down and purchase the full version !

Beavis need not be so assuming

Beavis: If you have read my previous posts, which I know you must have had, based on your comments, you would have seen that I am just about ready to install the full version and am awaiting the arrival of all other hardware recommended by the GOOD informative not-so-assuming people on this forum.
In the meantime, I have been experimenting with the DEmo (as recommended by those same good people), and am becoming more knowledgeable by the day. However, it is important to me to gather and understand as many issues as I can about the program.
Now, are you saying there is a difference with the video player on Demo, and if so, will you please help me with how the full version might handle this, as this was my original question.
I think the MTU Support may need a talk with you concerning forum etiquette.

i think its a pretty simple program and has been for years. as long as you follow the guide lines as to what is required to run hoster, generally there are not many problems.

i have never had a problem with hoster except when there were audio drop outs. that was long ago !

i have a dedicated computer i built from scratch and i never use it for anything except Hoster & PCDJFX. never go online except to get windows updates.

you come on the scene asking a million and one questions before even installing it on your computer.

you should start by installing it then ask questions as your problems arrise. you may have no problems like myself.

importing all your music will take a while (weeks) if you have a few hundred cdg's.

etiquette ??? im a straight forward guy !

Thanx Beavis

I see. Thanx for the decent reply. Forgiven and forgotten. Shake on it?
Bryant
I will be installing very shortly but really needed to make sure my laptop and all peripherals were compatible, I do now understand the Hoster program itself is nearly infallible. As a result of asking so many questions.
Oh, what does the vip under your name mean anyway?
Oh, and do you know anything about the Dell S-video ports(7-pin s-video)?

Beavis January 19th, 2006 09:22 AM

i would use the s-video out to this rf modulator then you can run coaxial to your TV's.

im not sure if you will need an adapter if you have a 7 pin ??

as to the VIP thing, all that means is ive been around too long ! :) :)

I Love MTU :g

How are you going Bryant? Are your MPEGS working? I have the same problem, on the full version. I think it's the video card, an ATI X700 on my laptop. I can get the MPEG file to play on the extended monitor from my desktop computer, (ATI Radeon 9600XT) but not from the laptop. Does the rf modulator work?

bryant January 31st, 2006 10:00 AM

Hi Smallan,
I've been working on installing KMA files now with good success, I haven't got back to that problem. My video card is up there with the best. I'm gonna check on that again next week and let you know if I still have the problem with the full version, at that time we can discuss. Thanx for contacting me, however.
