Error Message when trying to play Hoster

Last night I successfully loaded several CD+G discs and played them, everything checked out fine. This morning I attempted to open Hoster and it gave me a dialog box stating that it had internal problems and could not open, as well as all the other Hoster programs. After re-booting I got Hoster to open and downloaded another CD+G , everything working fine until I went to play the songs and I kept getting an error message after cue. I rebuilt the data base, rebooted computer but still get the "error" message when attempting to play a song. Any Ideas ????? beoakes@bruceoakes.com

Is it just a red error in the box when you hit the play button? I only time I have seen that is when a MP3+G file is imported and is compressed to max. instead of normal.

No, it first goes to cue and then the red error message appears and it does it on all songs including those that worked previously. Did Hoster 3.3 eliminate the ban on single hyphens such as I'm just talkin' ?? Will single hyphens still cause the program to abort ??

I havn't had any proplems with single hyphens. Mine all seem to play fine.

Here is the FAQ on this: http://www.mtu.com/support/faq/faq-h...#PlayListError

Also, make sure your Sound Card is working.

Just A Thought, But Try Re-building the songs database. and make shure all the songs imported are in the correct folder. Sometimes Hoster creates a folder in program diles\micro technologies unlimited\hoster\songs to put the imported songs in this is usualy when you have upgraded. You have a merge command to put them in the regular folder I think.

Thanks for all the help gang. I am up and running again and I think it was an old HST.00 file within the MTU folder. Regards, Bruce Oakes....
