After HDD crash........

Hi All
Tried to re-install Hoster (2.xx) plus all upgrades after a fresh instal on the same machine, but here's the error message I get

Our records show that your product was already registered with a different Ethernet Device
Press Next to pick another device or Cancel to exit.

I have tried both the Ethernet devices, and still no luck. Can anyone help me out please?

Thank You
Tony

Go to the top of the forum to critical registration problems, and post there. this commands their attention. Not speaking for MTU, But the upgrade should be out within 2 days, by the news. If you did a system reinstall it thinks you are using a different computer. (windows thing) They will have to reset your code.

Thanks GD!

Agree with gduns about reposting in critical registration problems, however the device ID for your ethernet adaptor should not change regardless of the computer it's on or reinstalling OS.
It's been a long time since I played with them but you should be able to see the ID # and possibly have support tell you the id number that is registered.
You said you tried both of them so I'm guessing you are using a usb/portable ones. Could you accidentally be selecting the one that's built in when you meant to select the portable one?

Hi Sam

TY for that information. Here's something else I saw now

Some history:
Long time ago I installed Ver 2.xx
Bought the upgrade 3.xx
1st rebuild of machine a few months ago, installation went fine (I guess that's why it sees 2 installations)
2 Days ago machine crashed after I did something stupid and now I cannot re-install. Can someone at MTU please reset the installation for me?

Thank You
Tony

ps. No, I have 2 networking cards in my machine, no USB's
