Music is faster than disply

When I start to play a song the display seems to be slow and the music is way ahead of it. I have tried to retard the audio and it still dosen't help. Any ideas?

You haven't really told us much about your system, which would be helpful. You can try reading this post, i don't know if it is the type of system you are using. http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?t=2836 :?

Have you tried reducing your hardware accellerators?

Reset the playback offset in Hoster back to no adjustment, and close Hoster.

Click START, RUN, type in DXDIAG, and click OK..
After everything has finished loading, click the SOUND 1 tab at the top.

Click and drag the HARDWARE SOUND ACCELLERATION LEVEL slider all the way to the left.

Close out, and see if that solves the problem.

If it solves the problem and you notice any adverse reactions to any other programs, you can slowly sneak the slider back to the right one notch at a time until all is well. I doubt you'll need to do so.

SPARKY,

Has the problem been taken care of or do you still need help?

Feedback would be helpful.

info on OFFSET

I'm curious about the Offset feature in Hoster - can this be set for a single song, or is it a setting that takes affect for everything? If it's for a single song, can the setting be "stored" with the song so it always plays back that way, or do you have to keep re-setting the offset? Thanks.

Ok I fixed it by turning off the AGP Texture support in the DXDIAG Video settings.

I don't understand why it works but but it does. Thanks guys

Thanks for the feedback...generally it's the audio hardware accelleration. You helped me to learn something new today :) Now all I have to do is try to remember it :f

After a reeboot the same slow video happened again, I wound up having to dissable Direct draw and the direct 3D. Something is still wrong but At least it works for now.

Make sure that you have the latest updated drivers for your Sound Card, this normally will fix this problem.
