Hoster won't Play Song

When I try to play a song with Hoster, My screen goes blue and in a few seconds, the hoster screen comes up again with the song marked "played", yet the song doesn't play. Just installing this on my laptop, haven't been able to play a song yet. Any ideas?:?

What does the duration on the playlist show before playing?
How are you importing? CD or HD import?
How big are the imported files? At 128 they should be in the 4,5,6mb range (or atleast in that neck of the woods). If they are just a few hundred Kb then you've got an import problem.
Do those songs normally start with a blue screen? Normally when hoster plays something with no graphics the screen is black.

If you double click the full size screen you can resize it to a point that you can see what's going on, on your desktop while the song is playing (duration timer etc.).

Songs are 3-4K, they don't play at all and in 1-3 seconds, the blue screen goes away and the hoster panel comes back up showing the song has played. Most of the songs in there now used to be zipped MP3+G files imported from a HD.

try re-installing hoster.

make sure you have all MS updates

It sounds to me like you are trying to import mp3+g (.mp3+.cdg) files using the cdg button instead of the mp3g button. When you use the cdg button the files that show up in the import window will have a .cdg extension and that will produce what you describe. Using the mp3g button will show the same songs but with an .mp3 extension, these should import and play correctly (assuming the original files are good).

If this was the case I would delete the bad kma files as well as the text file showing the imported songs that Hoster placed in the folder with your mp3gs, and then reimport them.

If this is not the case I'll have to defer to someone more knowledgeable.

They are zipped MP3+G files. I'm using the ZIP button. Should I try to separately (using an unzip program) unzip them to MP3+G and then try to import them?

Sorry, I was under the impression that your files were zipped but are no longer.

I would certainly unzip a couple and see what's in there just to eliminate the possibilities of the files being corrupt.
