' sign missing in songs database

Has anyone else noticed in the last versions, when you import song's from a cdg disc the ' is missing. It used to be (I'd) (I'll) (I'm) and so forth. When you print your books out it puts the I'd in a differant place than Id or Ill. Makes it hard to find songs sometime.

' character

If you look at the Hoster documentation, it states to never use the ' character because it causes problems in the Access database. They've probably removed these characters for that reason. I, personally, have never had any issue with it, and just add it to my song titles (you do have the ability to edit what the Hoster database puts there).

We had (maybe still have???) a problem with Add Track SEARCH crashing when there were " ' " characters in the Songs Database. Yes, we removed all of them from our Import Database.

Some users have recently indicated they CAN USE apostrophes without crashing. Please try using some and see if SEACH works for you. If it crashes, you can edit them out your Artist and Title names with the Edit Songs command.

I have been using the apostrophes for 2 1/2 years and never had a proplem yet. The only problem now is when you print a book by title it sorts them wrong when some have the apostrophe and some don't.

By the time i heard about the issues with these characters for the first time, I had already manually imported over 900 disc. To date I haven't ever encountered a problem with Hoster chrashing for that reason that I know of. :)

i imported over 2500 cdg's before the new database was released and still have had no problem with the ' crashing anything. That's using hoster 6 nighhts a week since it came out.
