Mark Song Button.

This is not a pressing issue, however my mark song button does not print the song number and name in to the the marksong.txt file when I select it when a song is playing. I can write comments and it goes to the Marksong.txt but the song name and bookid # isn't there. I have entries in there from before that show the song name and Book id so I know that at one point this option worked. I really wish it would work again. ANY suggestion would be greatly appreciated. I have already tried uninstall and a reinstall. I also tried deleting the marksong.txt file and it comes back operating in the same manner as before.(Not recording the file name and Bookid#). Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Does every one else's mark song button work like it is supposed

to?

MTUSUPPORT September 28th, 2005 09:38 AM

Blastenfrog,
Here is exactly what mine is doing:

C:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\MarkSong.txt

BOOKID SONG NAME ARTIST NAME
PATH
TEXT

1301 All For You Janet
C:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Songs\MM6335-1.kma
This is a Test (Note that I was able to add when clicking the Mark Song button)

This is working fine on my end. What version of Hoster are you running? I am using Hoster 3.120.

Confirming, am getting the same results as SUPPORT.

This is what mine is doing.

BOOKID SONG NAME ARTIST NAME
PATH
TEXT

Test (Note that it prints the the text that I type but not the destination and song info.)

Are you sure that you have a Song Selected in the Playlist, when you click the Mark Song button? I have tested this and this is what should happen.

Blastenfrog September 29th, 2005 02:53 PM

Yes the song is selected and playing when I press the mark song button. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Hoster but i still have the same result.:r

Mark song not working

Mine is doing the exact same thing as Blastenfrog. I entered comments for 3 songs, and see the 3 comments, but no song info. Songs were highlighted and playing at the time I clicked "Mark Song" button. Using version 3.12. Exact contents of file below (removed some blank lines to save space):

BOOKID SONG NAME ARTIST NAME

Mark Song not working properly

My previous thread on this obviously got buried and wasn't getting any response (so sorry for the new one). Blastenfrog had stated an issue with the Mark Song not working properly - mine isn't working either.

Merged songpony's "other" thread into here. Please stay in the same TOPIC thread.

Our programmer who wrote Mark Song looked at the code. He could only find a problem when the selected song was a VIDEO type file in the Playlist. We have fixed this in our 3.300 Beta 4, but it is not yet ready for sale/release.

Blastenfrog and songpony... what file TYPE are you playing (see it in the Playlist Type field within the selected song) when you don't get the path data saved? :?

This will help us understand what is going on.

Mark Song issue

The song type that was playing in all of my cases was CDCDG (file imported to Hoster from a CD).

Blastenfrog October 28th, 2005 08:07 PM

Ditto. Mine were CDGCD also. I have no video files so it cannot be that.:r
