can't record in custom assembly

imported cdg's to hard drive. put them in custom assemble. selected test and got error message and ruined cdr. loaded new cdr. selected write cd. same results. error: 'write' command failed on device 0:1:0 read/write error or bad medium detected (04h 00h 02h 03h 0ch 09h).
what's goin' on? have attached dxdiag. when I downloaded the adaptec aha1510 scsi host adapter, it came up with a - - !- - over the icon
help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
