716A plextor drive not detected for microstudio

I recently bought a 716a plextor drive and is not detected by microestudio though about 3 weeks ago (before i buy the 716a) it was doing it. When i tryed to burn a cd+g showed in the corresponding box "select the reading driver". After doing so showed in other window "Not for Karaoke".
Now it does not even display in the window neither the model nor the indication if for karaoke. Please tell me how to solve this problem?

Emilio,

You didn't mention which version of Microstudio you have. The Plextor 716 didn't become supported with Microstudio until version 2.610. None of the prior versions support this drive.

If you have Microstudio 2.609 or earlier you'd need to upgrade.

Hope this helps,
George

Exactly as George Stated, you will need to have the version of Microstudio that supports that drive, which is 2.610 or later.

I do have 2.611 version so the problem cause most be something else.
Should i try to reinstall the software? Is it going to cost me money to do so?

Thank you.:)

This could be an ASPI driver problem.

Try going to the link below which takes you to the Microstudio FAQ section dealing with ASPI driver problems, how to check which version you have, and how to replace the driver.
