Big problem with Song Book
I'm not sure if this topic has been explained yet??? When I view the song book I just created under artist, it shows numerous listings for the same artist with the same spelling lower case or upper case. for instance, I have 20 listings for Chicago. It should work that all chicago lower or upper case should be listed once and all the songs listed underneath, right? Is this being fixed already? thanks Patrick:g

In the Song Book every change in case will cause a seperate entry in the song book. You will also have entries that look the same on the printed page but have a space at the end resulting in a seperate entry in the book.
You can use Edit Songs to change Artist or Song to all correct all issues. I end up printing 3 or 4 copies of the song book to look for mistakes before I print the final copy. (I always seem to miss some mistakes) I then use edit songs every time I find a typo or miss spelling so the next time I print Song Book those mistakes are fixed. |
thanks

#1. A Change in case should not create a seperate entry in the book as text comparisons should be made case-insensitive. #2. The program can strip any leading/trailing spaces before it indexes and outputs the rich text files. As usual, these are only suggestions..... I'm not a programmer, I just play one on television. |
