Plextor won't burn?

Microstudio Help. I can not getmy plextor burner to write. I have XP and I have had continuing problems. I loaded new drivers and that worked temporarily. Now it will not write at all. Error message says Bad Medium? I have used these disc many times and they will work. It must be a hardware or software problem??? Message help says my computer is sending info to slow? I did all the troubleshooting and still won't work?????:?

When it states that you have Bad Medium, this is a Buffere Underun, which means that something on your system is slowing it down. Here is the post that states what to try for this:http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?t=3622

It is Post 9, here is the Information from the above thread:

9) ERROR: Write command failed on device 1:1:0 read/write error or bad medium detected (04h 00h 02h 03h 73h 03h)

ANALYSIS: Your computer is not sending data to the CD-R drive fast enough.

SOLUTION: Find what is slowing down your computer.
  1. Run Windows Disc Defragmenter by going to the Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\Disc Defragmenter.

  2. Run all of the Windows updates by clicking here.

  3. Run Spybot Search and Destroy to search for and remove Spyware from your computer.

  4. Update your Motherboard drivers from your computer manufacturer. These will be called the Chipset drivers or Motherboad drivers.
This should help, as you look for what is slowing down your computer.

Go to this link, click on known Microstudio error messages and the fixes, and scroll down to the correct error message. Before running disc defragmenter as suggested, I'd also run disk clean up.

Hope this helps,
