Using a remote controller

I read a long time ago about someone who was using a remote control to move from one singer/song to the next. I am wondering what type of remote would work for that? I bought a Kensinton pocket presenter wireless and it doesn't work unless I have to set Hoster up different for a remote to work. If to this point Hoster doesn't work with a remote will it in the near future?

Dean, I moved this from "Testimonials" to Hoster Help where you will receive answers.

We have had few requests for remote control so it is not on the active "to do" list. We have discussed it in house, but we have a lot of VERY OFTEN requested features on our design plate right now that will probably take us through this year to get them all done.

Maybe someone else who is using a remote control can post any suggestions. I expect you will need to somehow "map" Hoster's HOT KEYS to the Remote control buttons. The remote unit must have software to do that.

Trying to do much more than play controls (play, stop, restart, pause, skip) may be very cumbersome. For example, trying to Add Tracks without being able to see the Database list would be impossible. However, adding a track by its BookID, if the remote allows numeric entry, may be possible.
