Hoster keeps locking up - reinstalling Windows solved the problem

Just purchased hoster 3.006, when I click on the Hoster icon & I can get it to load up but Hoster will not read any outside info, cd+g,ect. When I go to the import screen the program freezes. Help! I was hoping to have this up & running for my next show.:?

do you have all windows updates ? also is your cd-rom compatable with hoster ??

Is this a computer one you had laying around the house ?

when you install hoster you should do it with a fresh computer with all windows updates. every time you go to do an upgrade, you should check for any more updates from microsoft.

also, dont install any software that you dont use when you do a show.

just my .02

Thank you.
I currently have it working, but Hoster and Sound Choice don't agree with each other. Hoster will load 2 disc's and then I have to reboot to add 2 more.:?
Any idea's?

Yes my computer is just built Shuttle and the CD drive is a Plextor. I reinstalled Windows XP and it is working fine now.
