in the detect drives it says my pioneer is ok for karaoke but iy dont work why is that thanks

The test trys to see if the drive will answer back on the .cdg format, which your pioneer did to show Yes. But then when we actually send the command to the drive for it to read the CD+G format, it is not working. There are some drives that have done this, they fake that they support CD+G, and then when you actually ask for it to give you the data, it can't. Nothing can be done for the drive, other than to replace it.
This is why we have the Demo versions so that you can download and actually test to see if your drive is going to work or not, and not just show Yes. |

thanks it works great with powercd+g power player as does my sony laptop which as a dvd rewriter model u54a but prefer microstudio

We will start Microstudio 3.000 beta testing this week. It uses an entirely different reading/writing method so it should be able to use almost any CDROM/CDR/DVDR drive for CDG.
We are very excited about this upgrade. This feature has been under development for a long time, and is now working. It will allow reading and duplicating Multisession discs also, so all tracks can be read in directly. :w It will be a free upgrade to anyone who has purchased Microstudio after Jan 1, 2005. It will be $15 otherwise. |
