Re: hard drive problem
Is this new drive your Primary C Drive or a Secondary Drive.
If it is your C drive and you just installed Windows after using MaxBlast, then try to run the MaxBlast tools again to enable Large Drive. If this doesn't work, you will need to re-install Windows and let Windows format the Drive. Once Windows is installed, Windows will set the Drive to the Correct Size upon the completion of the Install and, if XP, installing SP1. If it is a Secondary Drive, re-format it in Windows. |
Re: hard drive problem
Call Maxtor or your Motherboard company. The problem is that you have an older Motherboard that has a bios that will only support up to the 137gb. You can put in a PCI Raid card that would allow seeing the full drive, but it can sometimes be a headache to do.
You might just want to live with the 137gb on this computer or upgrade your computer to a new more current motherboard. |
