Noisey CDG Import caused by failing CDR drive

When I try to import a CDG into the play list while a KMA is playing it also makes alot of noise popping and clicking through the speakers. It just started happening today for the first time, I'm not sure if it is a problem with my Plextor 708A or not as it was giving me problems with not reading CDG's for a few days.
I have another Plextor 712SA coming in to use as a second one and I plan on sending in the 708A after the 712 arrives.
Has anyone else had a similar problem. I reinstalled Hoster 3.005 already and it still dosen't seem to work right.

Re: Noisey CDG Import

When I fiest started using hoster I could import a customers CDG at the same time I was playing a Karaoke song from hoster and it was fine. So I know it can be done, I just need to find out what it is causing the problem now. I do shut down every other unnessasary programs before running a Show.

Thanks for the Info.

Is this a Laptop computer, or some other type of desktop system?

Sounds like the drive may have gone bad, or is having some type of problems. Unless you have a Laptop, if you have a laptop then it sounds like it might be some type of ground loop.

Plextor seems to think it's the drive as well, they gave me an RMA. I got in the new drive and will put it in Saturday.
