Hoster 3.006 Crashing - Rebuild Songs Database fixed it

I just downloaded the new version of Hoster and when I go to search for a song it comes up and says, too few parameter expected 1 (3016) do you want to use help?, and Hoster crashes. Can someone help me fix this. I have a show tonight and we use the search a lot.

Thanks,
Sherri

The problem lies in the Songs though. When you get this error message, it means that one of your songs has an Illegal character in it, such as '," or another character that can't be recognized.

Gotcha,

I just thought he'd pulled a George and made a typo.

Wouldn't scanning through the songbook find the song that has the illegal character in it? Time consuming, yes, but I can't think of another way.

Might be faster to do it with a printed songbook. Scanning a page at a time would go much faster than doing it on the pc, and with a greater degree of control. I think it would for me.

Take care,

George

Just had another thought. Sherri said after she rebuilt the database the problem was cured. Wouldn't that indicate that the bad character would have to be AFTER the song she searched for without the crash? That might narrow the hunt down considerably.
