Does any one know, of a company that can clean and repair plextor drives. I have three, one is not working well (my favorite of course)

with labor rates $50 to $85 an hour plus parts which depending on what it is
I think the laser pick up is $50 I think plus shipping of the part and shipping of the drive there and back do the math it is cheaper to buy a new one and get a warranty with it
I hate to say it I just throw them in the trash and buy a new one
as far as cleaning you can do it your self
plextor tech support we tell you how to
just call in on the one you have thats under warranty
and ask how to clean them they are not hard to take apart
and clean up pretty quick

I am not aware of any companies that would do this either, if Plextor won't then you may as well go with a new one. That should tell you something, the price to repair is more than it is to purchase.
