Lost My Singers Name Display

I had the wierdest thing last night. I opened up the singers Name display, resized it and began to drag it to the singers Display Monitor, I saw it coming onto my monitor and I accidentally clicked my mouse and the Singers name display disappeared! When you click on the button for SND, it turns green, but the display is nowhere to be found. I hope theres a simple solution for this. Where could it have gone? If the window is activated, shouldn't it be visable on one screen or the other? :?

Hello S. Parks, I have the same problem!!!!!!!!! Posted a thread but I must have confused many by using the wrong terminology (SND). :e I have tried closing hoster but I still can't locate Singers Name Display. Bob:m

Is it possible that you dragged the name display off the screen and it no longer is available to click on. Change your resolution as small as you can and see if the SND display is visable. If it is drag it back to the center and change the display back to the regular resolution.

I had thought of that and tried it, but no luck, it is still nowhere to be found. :?

Go into TOOLS, click on SINGER NAME DISPLAY, and see if ENABLE SINGER NAMES WINDOW is still checked.

Can't imagine how it would have changed, but who knows.

Another possibility is are you running the current version? There was a problem with disappearing SND's that was corrected in the newer versions.

Re: Lost My Singers Name Display

no, it says it's still activated. When I double click on it, it changes from red to green. Typically when it has been green the SND is visable on the monitor I put it on, but it is not. Furthermore, by double clicking on the SND button, it unchecks the activate SND screen.

Re: Lost My Singers Name Display

If you had only a few lines like two or three to show and the window was small, your mouse may not be at the same position as the singers window to retrieve it. Your mouse must be on it to move it.
The singers window can be at the bottom corner or the top corner of the screen, even the center. Try all locations to find it. If it is active, it is there somewhere.
I experimented with it to find this out.

Might try simply re-installing the program and see it it corrects itself back to the defaults.

Re: Lost My Singers Name Display

The latest version, 3.06, never had a problem using SND prior to this. I tried jdavia'a sugestion of dragging the mouse around the perifery or the extended screen to see if it was hiding...nothing. I tried reinstalling the program. I turned off the exteded desktop so that the SND sscreen would have nowhere else to be, and still I can find it. The SND button turns red to green, the box to enable the screen is checked, but no screen. That's about all I know about this one. :e I have to liscense of Hoster and the SND display works flawlessly on the other computer. I am very confident in saying that for some reason it has disappeared. :?

Gotcha.

Don't see why doing a system restore to the day before this happened like Beavis suggested could harm anything, and just may cure it.

You may have to reinstall anything you've installed since then, if that's not a negative for you.

Hello S. Parks, Its safe to say that this is a flaw! I'm currently using 3.0 and I'm experiencing the same thing. I'm sure it's lurking out there somewhere, but I shouldn't have to fish my cursor around to try and snag it. It should be there. Hopefully they will try and recreate this scenario to figure it out.

Re: Lost My Singers Name Display

I have one more thought.
In moving the SND screen, could it be that you shrunk the display window thinking that you moved it. That happened to me and I had a time finding it. But but I seen it at the edge of the screen. So don't grab it by the edge to move it.
It may be best to check to see if this happened first, before you go to the registry
