What's happened? Nobody is helping my problem.
 

:m I posted my problem long time ago, but there were no helping at all.

My problem has been "Last song of all, any CD-G discs cannot be extracted to the hard drive". I have been using "Microstudio and Plexwriter".

Come on MTU.

there are dozens of threads that tell you how to get the last track using microstudio. basicly all you do is just select the last cd track (but not the short data track at the end of the disc) and import it with microstudio. it will stop and seem to freeze up... hit crtl , alt and delete to close microstudio..and that track will be wherever you have your files go. after you do this to all the discs you need to do this on. burn them as a cdg and input them into hoster as a custom cd. it's alot of work... OR you could do the above and then reassemble the original disc and make a new copy of the entire disc without the multisession and then import it into hoster as usual.

Thank you for your input:g ; however, I have been using the method you have found to extract the last song. My software was working fine for first week, then it stopped recording the last song, so I thought that there might be a solution to this problem instead of doing "Ctrl, Delete" everytime.
Moreover, if many users are having same problem, :? MTU should notify all the purchasers this malfunction or send out how to fix it.

It's not a program malfunction if you have cdg's that have one of the anti-copy programs on them. Gripe at the cdg manufacturer.

Sounds like yours may be the one called MULTISESSION, and there are volumes of discussions, including work arounds, on the forums some successful, some not. I believe that's what DJMADMAXX is referring to, not a program malfunction.

You could have easily started out with some that were not copy protected, and have now run into some that are. It should say something about it on the center hub of the cd if they are.

If not that, it could be a burner issue. If so, you should be getting an error message. If you are getting an error message we need to know exactly what it says.

If not that, then perhaps a system change, in which case if your O.S has restore capability, you may pick a restore point back when things were functioning.

I'm a musician, so I understand that some artists and their companies are very sensitive when it comes to copy right issue.

Glad we could help.

It is not illegal to make a back-up of your discs to protect your investment. There's a lot of controversy on that one, with the cdg manufacturers, of course, taking the opposite view.

What really gets you though is when you run across a cdg manufacturer who is really violating the laws.

I have a cdg disc that features Dinah Washington. There are 10 background and 10 vocal demo tracks. The arrangments are exactly the same as the originals(instrumentation and back up singers, and it IS Dinah Washington singing the demos. The Karaoke tracks have an occassional "ghost" fading in and out in intermittantly, and it is Dinah also. I have her LP's for comparison.

Conclusion: The cdg manufacturer took an original and did the best they could with vocal removal. Perhaps they figured she was dead, so what the heck, but there's still the songwriters and producers to consider. Thanks to Sonny Bono the material is still out of public domain anyway, so they were in violation.

And these people don't want us to make a back up.
