External plextor cd-rw for my dell laptop

Is a Plextor PX-W4012TU 40/12/40U External cd-rw compatible with microstudio 2.6 making backups? My Dell is a P3 1.3mhz 256mb running Windows XP.

This drive worked fine in the past. So it should work without any problems. You should try downloading the Microstudio Demo to make sure that the actual drive that you have, does work. You can do this from: http://www.mtu.com/support/demos/code-microstudio.htm
