I just installed khpro. I tried to use it by adding a wave file and text file that I had prepared. When I press start,
I get the "illegal operation window" and am dumped out. I tried using the goldenwave program to extract another wave file and had the same results. I uninstalled directcd but have createacd still installed as well as musicmatch jukebox and realplayer. I have seen other similar posts. How can I ensure that my wav file is not the problem? and if it is the problem, how can I make sure future files are good?

Try using Microstudio to extract the .wav file from the CD. If this still doesnt work then you might not have the correct version of DirectX. You can download DirectX 8.0 from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/r...eleaseID=27741

Please let me know if either of these work.

I tried using the demo version of microstudio ( I just ordered the full version) and it didn't work either. I am assuming it really doesn't matter what the song is versus the text while testing. Anyway, that wav file didn't work either. I will download the DirectX version you suggest tonight and give it a try. Shouldn't this be mentioned in the installation directions(or was it?)?

I downloaded DirectX 8.0 and loaded it.
Khpro works fine now.
