I have sorted out the problem with the ASPI now. I have amended the setting in the Control Panel - System - CD-Rom so that the Data Sys is on and the Auto Notification is off.

I am able to write the original CD-G to the hard drive but when we are asked to put the cd rom in I am only getting part way through the recording process. An error in <unknown> comes up and closes Microstudio down and is then opening the welcome page on the Adaptec CD Creator.

Check that the Auto Insert Notification is still turned off, this is what allows Adaptec's Program to pop up when you put a blank CD in the drive. If you have Adaptec Direct CD loaded, you will need to remove this software as it will crash Microstudio.
