Re: Oh gosh....

[quote=admin]Hoster 2.216 won't yet import .cdg files as .kma files. That's coming, along with mp3+g songs too. :w

This is unbelievable. Had I been aware that Hoster was not capable of importing cdg's from hard drives I would never have purchased it. I would have simply upgraded to a newer version of microstudio as I have been extremely satisfied with its performance. :e

Re: Hoster will not load last track

not sure why you say that
they are so difff in many ways
microstudio cant hold a candle to hoster

hoster was made to do a show with and does it well
why in the world would any one want to use and waste that much
space on your hard drive to use cdgs in stead of importing them as a kma
nothing personal here but your statement sounds to me to be a little norrow
minded on your part

you went from using a ford pinto
to buying a hemi race car
if you new what you bought you would not of made that statment
you have a fine pice of softwear and dont even know it !!!

dont get me wrong here there are things that dont make me happy BUTT
for it as a hole it is still the best out there
you just need to learn how to use it to the best it can be

Re: Hoster will not load last track

I accept that Hoster is a far better product, but if it is not capable of converting cdg files into kma files directly from my external hard drive then I feel it will create a lot of hard work for me to have to import all my tracks from disc again!!! Is this what I have to do or IS IT possible to do it the easy way? Many thanks once again for any positive feedback to my valid point.

What we are doing to import cdg files from the hard drive

We are in the process of making a major change to Hoster, which will split the Import Tracks Tab as a separate structure, no longer a "Tab" in Hoster along with the "Playlist Tab". We started that task today. As soon as we can get the Importer separate, we will work on importing .cdg files from the hard drive into .kma files.

Mousemaster, how did you name your .cdg files on the hard drive? This is the "sticky point" for us; how to get the song parameters that KMA files require (brand, discID, BookID, Songname, Artistname) for importing a .cdg file from the hard drive. All you have is a filename. We will try to provide a sequence of "radio buttons" (only one active at a time) that defines what info is in the .cdg filename. Any help offered on this will be greatly appreciated, and speed up this feature appearing. :w

We now have the Edit Song operation so you can edit the song parameters for already imported kma files, while you are importing new kma files. This is done multitasking, so you can be editing while importing... overlapped operations for doing both tasks in the same time, not double the time. :g

Re: Hoster will not import cdg files from the hard drive

If you get to the point where you can import .cdg files from the hard disk, will you also get to where you can import .mpg files from hard disk? I currently have all of my video CDs and laser disks copied to my hard disk in VCD format (.mpg). I was anticipating (not pleasantly) having to burn all of these .mpg files to CDs in order to be able to import them into Hoster (once it can support VCDs) - if there's any way at all that they could be read from the hard drive instead, you would absolutely make my year (I have about 1400 .mpg files).
