I once saw a link for a site wher eI could choose the song I want for 1.00$ per song. Is it legal to do this and what was that site?

It's probably the same site I saw (I'll do my bit for anti-piracy by not mentioning the name - although it was on MTU's forum) and I'm 99.99% sure it's pirated, because:
1 they don't mention any brand names. A reputable site would tell you what you are purchasing.
2 I found songs on his list that I know only Sound Choice has out and they would never ever ever let someone sell their songs for $1 apiece.
3 It was a very unprofessional store advising the customer to post his list on paypal with the payment or send a separate email if the list was more than 2 disks long.

There were other things that just didn't smell right.
I wouldn't even be tempted because SOMEDAY when they start busting pirates they'll find your name and address in his records. :e
The irony is that the guy had his website copyrighted with a notice that you can't copy anything from it without his permission...go figure.
If there are legitimate sites selling custom disks cheap I'd love to hear about it, but to date I don't know of any.
