ON Screen Display

My PC uses an s-video out cable to project the image on my Television. When I open the Hoster Program it is all viewed on the TV. Is this a comman practice? In other words, will my patrons always be able to see (on the TV screen) everything I see on the PC? Is there a way to make it so that only the song graphics are viewed on the TV? ....................Please advise,

RonB,
You are not set up correctly. You are set up in CLONE mode. You need to set up in EXTENDED DESKTOP mode. Don't feel bad. This is a common mistake, brought about by confusing video card instructions.

Have the remote tv hooked up and turned on.

Right click on any free area of your monitor desktop.

Click PROPERTIES.

Click SETTINGS. You should see two monitors, 1 & 2.

Click on #2

Check the block where it says EXTEND MY WINDOWS DESKTOP TO THIS MONITOR.

Click O.K.

Hope that gets it for you.

George

Ron,
Also what kind of Video card do you have? If your card doesn't support Dual Display, then you will not beable to do as George has posted above.

I set up my monitors just like the directions above but when it displays on the singers screen the picture is terrible and you can barely see the words change color. On my desktop I can only see one display and can't adjust anything. Started to adjust display size on my laptop but everything went crazy. What am I doing wrong? The TV I was using is a 48inch Mits. Thanks :g

Re: ON Screen Display

Are you sure your video card supports dual display? What type of card do you have? Support may need to know to help you. Any other system info you can supply would be helpful.

Take care,

George
