MTU Laptop

The Hoster laptop page states you can upgrade to a DVDR external drive from 52x CDRW drive, however there is no price or button to click to upgrade when you order. Does anyone know the price and how you execute the upgrade when ordering?

to me this would indicate you would have to order the 52x cdrw usb drive

Hummmm......

Well, the 52x CDR drive is standard.... built in the standard price.

Thus, ordering the DVDR upgrade for $135... replaces the standard CDR drive with the DVDR drive.

I hope this helps. :w

So, if I'm understanding correctly...even though the button to add it to the order isn't present on the Hoster laptop page, I would then go to one of the other pages and order it that way. And, then it would automatically replace the cdrw drive. Let me know if I'm understanding correctly. The only question I have is since it is allowed as an upgrade why isn't it listed on the Hoster laptop order page as it is on the rack mount and portable computer page? Just wondering. I assume this was an oversight.

We can upgrade you to the external DVDRW for the difference in price from the $180 to the $256.

However the built in CD drive in the laptop is a combo drive with DVD ROM capabilities. So the only benefit to the external DVDRW is the DVD writing capability.

If you would still like to order this drive you may call in your order and we will gladly fix the order for you.

Sincerely,
