poor quality of copying cdg's

I have Karaoke Pro Suite 4 program from microstudios. I have been making back up copies of my cdg's and am getting some cd's that won't read certain tracks or leave spots on the screen after and during playing. What could possibly be the problem. Sometimes my machine will read and play them and sometimes it won't play them at all. I have a new Voco Pro Twister. Could this have some effect on them?

The most common reason for what you are describing is related to the quality of the media.

The media marketed by MTU is the finest quality for CDG available.. JVC and Verbatim are also generally problem free. I'm sure there are others out ther that are fine, but those and Mitsui, which is also excellent, are the only ones I've had experience with that give me consistantly good performance.

I stay exclusively with the MTU media now.

Also check your originals, make sure they are clean and free from scratches, dirt, fingerprints, etc... any of these could also cause problems in the backups...

As George and Flipeoke have stated, is right on as to what the problems would be.
