Hoster Setup on PC/Laptop

Hi All,

This may seem like a stupid question to some but I'm new to this and was wondering how everyone else setup their karaoke. When using Hoster, how do you tie in video to a tv source as well as audio and multiple mic inputs?

Thanks

if you are using this program for hosting a karaoke show, then I take it you already have an audio mixer board. plug the computer in to it as you would a player. plug the mic's into the mixer, then you mix it into the amp.

Hi gduns

Actually I don't have Hoster or a sound mixer yet but from what I hear it's the program to get. As far as sound mixer boards go, do you recommend one or a certain brand that you like? Also, can you tie in the graphics to this board?

Thanks

I dot a mackie DFX12 from guitar center. the reason I mention them is because they were the cheapest. But it is the best I have seen for karaoke. It has built in effects for the audio. (echo, & reberb). You dont need to plug the video into the mixer, it goes straight to a monitor/tv. if you have a laptop most og the newer ones have an s-video out. and will plug right into the video of the tv . otherwise you will need a modulator, and Recommend the RCA 4-way switcher-modulator. it will take in rca video, modulated video, or v-video and convert to rach of the other. will also take in audio, but you dont want to do that.

Hi gduns,

Thanks for all the great advice. Just curious, where would you pick up a RCA 4 way switch modulator? Is that something you can pickup at radio shack?

Thanks

BEST BUY, OR CIRCUIT CITY. I have tried the rat shack version, and they are not good. the RCA is digital, and works very well.
