Hoster won't read cd tracts

I have XP Pro, Hoster version 2.2.09. I select Brand, then Disc ID, then book ID, select karaoke, select 128k, save folder is listed, then click read cd tracts. Nothing happens, no error. I have 10 cd's imported in two days(sometimes it works). I have detected the drives and checked cd drive default. I am just starting, this may take 5 years. What am I doing wrong?

without knowing anything else about your system, try this. Shut down your computer and restart. if you have an external CD drive, make sure it is powered up before you open Hoster. Then, once you open Hoster, go to the tools menue and select, detect drives, you should see your CD+G capable drive listed there, make sure it is selected, and not some other CD player, or none at all. These steps should get you back on track. Let me know if this helps. Good Luck!

Phy57,
Did you get it to work correctly?

Please let us know.

I tried as S. Parks suggested. Also, I read on another forum to go to default drive and unclick drive then reclick and turn off computer. This did work for me. Sometimes Hoster will not open when I have the recorder turned on. Now I am having problems with graphics. The first cds I imported worked fine. Now I am having problems sometimes with tract 15, sometimes all of them. My originals work fine on a player. I read on forum to turn off running programs. I am going to try that. I have a 9100 Dell computer and a 4824a Plextor recorder converted to external, 160G external hard drive. It is using space fast. I think I will try at 96k.
