Request after first show

I have not had time to read all of these, yet, but I will. In the meantime, I do have a request.

Last night, we ran our first show using Hoster. Man, was it sweet. We only experienced a couple of glitches, and they had mostly to do with adding songs to the rotation. When we'd do that, and that song stayed highlighted, the existing song that was playing would finish up as usual, and jump all the way down the list to the last song, or whatever song was highlighted.

To me, that doesn't seem right. Is there a way to MAKE the program automatically play the next song down on the list (unless it is skipped, of course), rather than the one that happened to be highlighted? I am assuming it remained highlighted because I moved the song up in the rotation.

Also, a pair of "Move Up/Move Down" radio buttons would be slick.

All in all, a stress free show.

Interesting...

Thanks for posting this. I have never heard of this problem before. Thus, I am wondering what is causing it. We will do some testing at MTU to try to duplicate it.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, please post here. :?

Yes, I have had the same problem. You have to make sure the song that is playing is highlighted. If not it will play the next song that is. No matter if it is at the bottom or wherever.

Are you using auto-play, or are you clicking the 'PLAY' button for each song? If you are clicking 'PLAY' I think it will play the highlighted song, but if you are using auto-play, it SHOULD play the next song in the list, not the highlighted one...I will try to test to verify this...

Aye, Manual Mode. Only makes sense to me. A couple of the clubs that we play in have so many people, you can never be consistant enough to use AUTO to get them up there in time.

This has always been the case, and I along with some others have asked for this ability for the player to automatically highlight the next song in the list a split second before end of the song before it, that way when lists are moved around and the highlight remains with the last one moved it would automatically move it to the right spot at the right time.
If I am not mistaken it was too much trouble to program in and that we should just make sure the top song is highlighted before pressing the play button which actually made some sense.
