few 2 parameter box appears.

Hello. I just upgraded from 2.014 to 2.209 today. I quickly read the manual.

i go to install a CDG into the harddrive. I get a box that says
"2 few parameter, expected 2 (3061) would you like to see help?
Yes or No?
I push NO and the box remains.
I push YES and I am taken to another window that says
"Cannot find the jetter 35hlp.file. Do you want to try to find this file yourself?"
I push NO and it say it cannot file the jetter 35 file and that i need to install it.
I push YES and it takes me to a OPEN window.
What should I do?

The reason that you are getting this error is that you have one of these characters in your database: ", ' . If you have either of these 2 characters in a Song, then your system will do this.

Does this occur when you are trying to Play a song in the Playlist? Or does it occur when you are opening Hoster?

it happens when i try to download any CDG using your new 2.09 software, just as i stated in my first statement. Also, i was wondering why my registation number is my old number and not my new number. I even reloaded 2.09 and ask to repair the system but the CD reader don't read and the song database never fills the artist/songs sections.

Is there an easy fix for this problem, as I have it too?

go to the tools tab.... and select default drive.

then go to the playlist, and add a cdg track..... if that works, the it should import. thisis what I had to do the otjer day to make mine work. From time to time you will have to reset the default drive. I havent figured yet why it forgets it, but it has done this once to me.

Your registration number is your registration. the upgrade number is just that.

Please tell me exactly which CD you are selecting from our Database, when this error occurs. I need to know the Brand and Disc ID.

There must be a ' or " in one of the songs on this disc that is creating the problem.

Please give me this information, so that I can try it myself.

Or does it do it on every CD that you select from the Database? Or are you typing in the names to the songs before importing?

fix jeterr35 help problem but got a new one

I started this subject so i will try to finish it.
I used ACCESS 2000 to open up the song list that i downloaded into my harddrive previously using 2.014. I went through and removed all " and ' in the the song title and artist columns. I got a window that said something like "this file was made using a earlier verison of access and if i wanted to convert it to use these buttons on the "tools" button". I tried this but the convert option was always greyed out. I exited access.
I went and updated my "update KMA file headers" and "prepare song book".

I went to my personal download link for 2.209 and re-down-loaded 2.209 into my harddrive. I removed the present 2.209 and reinstalled 2.209.

I go to download my first CDG using 2.209 into the harddrive.
I NOW get the CDG database (didn't have before). I put the CDG into the CD reader, choose the CDG manufacturer, CDG number, karaoke, 160 compression and "read" the CDG. Everything appears as it should. (This is where I was getting the jeterr35 help file not found, BUT IT IT GONE NOW!!!). I slightly changed the songs title.

ISSUE: I push the "NEXT" button for the book ID number and it goes to "1" instead of "59" that it should go to. I manually entered 59 and press "select all" and "import selected tracks".

All the tracks loaded. I went to "update KMA file headers" and "prepare song book". ISSUE: When I tried to "build song database" it fails.

I go to the ACCESS data base and the new CDG 59 is present.

I think I need to re-read these portions of the manual to get solid on their operations.

So, my reported problem is corrected, but anyone please comment on my issues or the use of 2.209 functions.

when you rebuild the database, you will have a pop-up screen. it asks where the song database is, and where the karaoke (.kma) files are located. make sure this is filled in properly or you will get this error.

thanks for the reply. I am not sure how to work that box that pops up. I think there are like 6 files in there and i have tried them all and I get a "back up not successful" box. I wish the manual would give a step by step on how to load songs instead of a description of a button, but no example on it use. If someone could please explain the steps, i would be most greatful.

I'm going to have to leave this one to mtu support, as I dont have the program in front of me right now.

when you select the drive that hoster uses to build the data base from, the pop up box on my machine always says "back up not successful", but after I click on that pop up mesage, it then begins to build the data base from the selcted source to the selected destination. It's important that the two of these are selected to be the right place. It should build the data base after you click on that pop up. It will take several seconds to minutes, depending on the size of your collection. I hope this helps.
