Hoster on a third computer?

I bought hoster last week and immediately installed it on my desktop. I realized that my disk drive did not read CDG so i tried it on my laptop to see if that drive could read cdg, both couldn't so i just built a new computer to stricly do karaoke, but i was unable to install host because of the two computer rule. I've taken it off of my Desktop now so I was wondering if you could help me out. i have a gig today so your immediate help would be appreciated.

you do not have any kma files to use on it for the show
so what good is hoster for your show tonight

it would of had to read the cdgs on the other unit

Problem solved?

I checked your registration record and it only shows one Hoster registration. I expect MTUSUPPORT may have already deleted one for you.

Try installing again on your new computer.

Next time download the Demo Version to find out if it will work or not.

Thanks

I sure appreciate the super fast response to my problem, Bryan you rule! I was able to install Hoster on the new computer I built, but since I didn't have time to import all of my CDGs (It's gonna take a while but im sure its worth it) So basically I ran the whole show using the "add a track from cd" option and loaded the songs manually as soon as they were requested. It worked great! I can't wait to use it how it was meant to be used after I import my library to my hard drive!

Thanks a million.

Marshall

Is it ever true? The more one lives the more one learns. Very creative Marshall. Now I will withdraw all the question I had and didn’t ask. :g :g

Good luck,

Hell0 All,
Marshall sure was creative but it must have meant him taking all his CDG's and old music books to the gig, defeating the whole concept of Hoster.
I would have been inclined to wait to use Hoster until I had loaded all my files into KMA. format.
I took everone's advice and have just upgraded to ver.2.209 and am finding I am having to relearn the process of running Hoster, some things easier to do but falling into the pattern I used on 2.014., making things slower at the moment.
Regards from across the pond.

Big changes are in the works to make life more efficient! :w

Does anyone use the Brand-DiscID-Track# mode of adding a track to the playlist? :?

George June 10th, 2004 10:15 AM

I've refrained from saying anything, but it would seem that not having brand/disc/id would force the KJ to have to refer to a songbook to identify the track he/she's looking for and add another step to the process.

It's all right there with brand/disc/id, with search as a back-up where the brand is not known.

Maybe search gets the job done, and I've got tunnel vision, but it seems easier to me with Brand/disc/ID....dunno.

the new seach engine gives you title/artist and brand, and lets me see all that's in the library, so I doubt I ever use anything other than that and maybe enter by disc number no and then, as I use strictly numerical identification for naming. (101 + disc one tack one)
