Error Message

I just purchased and downloaded Microstudio 2.517. After I installed the program I tried to open it and got this error message: Your serial number does not match your registration information. Please reinstall Microstudio and try again. I reinstalled the program and it didn't help. How do I fix the problem?

Kris,
Uninstall the software. Reboot the computer. Make sure that you are logged on as an Administrator account. Then try to reinstall the software, let me know what happens.

Bryan, Thanks! That worked, I'm in! This is a cool program. Now, the email I got with my registration code said to immediately make a copy of the installation Program on a CD rom. Could you tell me how to do that and use small words, I am completely computer illiterate. Thanks!

You should have made your backup BEFORE you installed. I am not sure if the instructions with your download actually mention saving before you install, they didn't when I bought it and I didn't know about this. The guys at MTU were very kind and helped me out.

Try using your download link to download the program again BUT DON'T INSTALL. When the download is complete copy the new file onto a disc and you will have your backup.

Welcome to the MTU family, I am sure you will have lots of fun with this easy to use program. Remember that the MTU staff and all of us here on the forum are here to help you, all you have to do is ask.

best wishes

Our good friend George posted this instruction http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3025 on how to back up. :w

At least, print your email with your registration email address and registration code.
