Artist listed more than one time in songbooks

I am using Hoster 2.125, when I print my song books sorted by artist I get the artist listed more than one time. It will have Johnny Cash, then there will be 5 or 6 songs listed. Then it will say Johnny Cash again and list more songs. This continues with many other artists. It may list their name 3 or 4 times. They are spelled the same, nothing differant. Has anyone else had this proplem?:f

Make sure that before you create your Song Books that you go in to the c:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Databases folder and delete the artist.rtf, titles.rtf, country.rtf and duets.rtf files. Once you have done this, then redo your Songbooks.

This should fix this issue.

Bryan,
Thanks for the information. I will try this when I get home tonight. One other thing, How do you get a country or a duets list printed out, or to even show up as country or duets in your song books?:)

This had never been activated. It just creates the files, but there is never anything in the Files. There is no way to use this.

MTU,

About six of my artists are showing up more than once in my song book. I have gone in and repasted ; checked spelling; still does the same. Someone else had this problem and you said:

"Make sure that before you create your Song Books that you go in to the c:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Databases folder and delete the artist.rtf, titles.rtf, country.rtf and duets.rtf files. Once you have done this, then redo your Songbooks.

Well,....it ain't. What else could be the problem? Could this still stem from the "Electrical Storm?"

are you reimporting the song to fix the
mistake reimporting is the only way to fix this

if you are try delteting songs mdb and back up song mdb at the same time your delteting the artist and title

and then rebuild your songs mdb and then run your book tab

this is the only way you will be able to do this
the song info is in the headder and you have to change it or it will come back every time
check it all make sure everything is the same font size spelling
spaces in between and commos and for caps and no caps you should be go to go then
i am sure you did this but if not give it a try
hope it works for you

Mike,

I'll try reimporting the songs. Yes, I have checked for spelling, spacing, font, etc. I'll try the other and let you know.

Thanks,

Kelly

after you do that

delete songs mdb both of them then the artist and so forth
then go back and rebuild your data base you should be good at that point
