Wrong artist name in database

I have noticed that there are several songs credited to the wrong artist in your database. ie Ha Ha Said The Clown was recorded by Manfred Mann, not Ha Said The Clown. Is there an easier way I can rectify this without deleting the KMA file and reimporting the track.

yes you should be able to put that cd in and select import,

select the brand,

the cd name, and number

then read the cd in.....it will show you all the titles and artists on that cd.

check the one you want to change, and change the artists info, and reimport.

it should then be changed in the database.

next time you prepare songbooks, it will make the change to the song book also.

Thanks for the advice, but I was after a quick fix without having to re import the disc. My external drive is playing up and I was wondering if I could just edit the id tag with the correct details.
I have spotted around 30 to 40 mistakes which I would like to rectify. These mistakes were correct before the last database update, and I am carrying an old song catalogue to help me get by.

well, you only have to import the one track, not the whole cd.

however a quick fix, and it isn't advised. But if you have access '97 you can open the songs database and edit those manually, and redo the songbooks.

But you will have to remember that the file headers havent been changed, so if you have to rebuild the database, it will have to be redone.
