DVD Capable

I'm curious to know if anyone ever tried playing a burn dvd (custom) with cdg songs and than play it with Microstudio?

Of course to do this you will need to use another software to create the custom dvd but just curious to know if the new Plextor 708 will read the tracks on the disk with Microstudio?

I have a cdr-rw Plextor & a dvd-rw that's not detected by MTU's software but wouldn't it be a good idea to have a big custom dvd!!

Mlepine,
Are you asking about Playing an actual DVD in Microstudio, or a CD+G in the Plextor 708 drive?

If you are referring to playing an actual DVD disc, there should be no way that it would play, because there is no code in place to handle DVD Playback.

Yes, I was referring to playing an actual DVD with cdg songs or cdg files.

I can't try it because my AOpen is not supported by Microstudio but it is capable of reading cdg.

Thanks

Can't Read

I can confirm it Bryan, I burned some cdg files on dvd+rw using Nero 5.5 & Microstudio will not read the files!

Is it on MTU's plan to be able to read the dvd format?

Thanks

Mlepine,
What you might try doing is selecting Play From HD. Then select the .cdg files ont he DVD itself. It should then play them.

There is no way the Play CD can play them though, because it is looking for the .cda file that it then pulls the graphics and audio from.
