Won't detect new drive
 

I just updated my MTU programs and purchased a MTU certified Plextor external drive. I’ve installed the programs and drive, the computer recognizes the drive but when I run the MTU programs they do not detect the Plextor? I’ve reinstalled the programs and rebooted the computer. I’ve downloaded the latest drivers and Direct X 9.0. What do I need to do so the MTU programs detect the drive?

Have you updated your ASPI drivers? If not, click here to update them.

If you loaded the Roxio software that came with the Plextor drive, uninstall it... it is not compatable with the MTU software and if your not saving data from your hard drive, you don't need it anyway. You may have to uninstall the MTU software and reinstall it as well after removing the Roxio software.

Reboot before re-installing
