Microstudio will not recognize wav file format under the play tab when selected from hard drive. Format selection only lists CDG as option, no option for WAV. Any suggestions?

Microstudio does not play wav files. It will play cdg and cda from a cd rom and cdg from hard drive. But it does not play wav files from either source.
