Sounds like you need to re-download. it may have been corrupted in the transfer

When you downloaded to the folder you made titled "MTU Software", you're practically duplicating the default folder which is Micro Technology Unlimited, and is located in the Program Files main folder.

You can do that if you wish, but you are going to have to remember to change the target folder every time you add new MTU products or upgrade any existing products.

The default path should read C:\program files\micro technology unlimited.

The one you set up should read C:\program files\mtu software if you put it where it should be, in the Program Files folder

Anyway, when you downloaded did you specify your new folder as the target folder to SAVE the download in?

Delete what ever is on the desktop. That's not a valid address. When you install Microstudio a shortcut will be placed on the desktop.

You say you can't open it. Have you installed it ?

Whatever folder it's in, there should be a file there called microstudio2517setup

You have to double click on that file to start the installation process. Follow the on screen prompts.

When entering any data make certain it agrees with the info you supplied when making the purchase.

When entering your email address and registration numbers they both must agree exactly with the email address and registration number in your download email from MTU.

Copy and paste these is strongly advised to prevent typos.

Hope this gets you going.

Gduns, didn't "step" on you, was working on that one for a time:)

Laraoke,

Follow gduns recommendation and download again, especially if you downloaded OPEN. Download to SAVE, not open. Downloading open is a good way to get a corrupted file.

Take care,

George
