What do you mean when you say audio problem?

What version of Micro are you using?

When you say the Toshiba is capable... where did you get this info?

I got the info from my computer when I go into control panel and open cd burner info. The error message I get is: Unable to read Audio sectors 0 to 25 on device 1;0;0 Illegal command request

Dianne,
By any chance is the cd a sound chouce cd. the media clog protected cd's do this, and sound choice will replace those for free.

The "Illegal command request" error message generally means the drive will not support CDG.

Here's a thread where support explains this.

Suggest Diane purchase a CDG Certified drive through MTU. They test each drive they sell. I have four in service all from MTU and they work flawlessly.

Thanks to all who replied to this! I appreciate your help. I guess I will have to consider purchasing a different burner. thanks again!

Diane,

As a last ditch attempt, you might want to go to the Toshiba website, and download any available firmware for your model burner. I wouldn't expect any change, but one doesn't know until one tries..
