Playback problems in Micro Studio 2.314

I have Microstudio 2.314 and KHPRO 2.008.
I have used Microstudio to copy tracks from commercial CD+Gs and write them to CD. These CD+Gs play in My Karaoke Machine, but, they won't play in Microstudio.

Likewise CD+Gs that I have made with KHPRO will play in Microstudio but not in my Karaoke Machine.

Did I miss a setting Somewhere?

Thanks,
Dennis

Hummmm...

First, what you are trying to do should work. I have not heard of your problem before.

Here are a few random thoughts (forgive the "commercial", but this may be the only fix):

1. Microstudio 2.314 is now a very old version. We have added a LOT of upgrades and bug fixes, and possibly that would fix your player problem.Click here to read the upgrades. Specifically, there was a bug fixed (item #5) in version 2.400 that prevented Microstudio playing from a CDG disc you made.

2. KHP 2.008 is also a very old version. Many bugs and new features have been fixed and added. Click here to read the upgrades. There were a MASSIVE number of bug fixes and new features added in version 3.010.

Maybe a user who experienced your problem has a work-around you can use for now. :w

Noticed you first posted as a customer in Jan 2002. Has this condition existed all this while, or did you change something, media perhaps ?

Regarding the cdg's you make in KHPRO, there could be a media problem there. Some older Karaoke players will not recognize "data" type media. I know my Phillips cd deck will not recognize them, and I have to use "audio" type media when I want to use it for live recording.

High quality "audio" media is also available if your equipment warrants it.

Irregardless of that, you really do need to upgrade the products as ADMIN suggested.

Micro 2.314

That's surprising to see that some people are still running that old version of Microstudio!

Wasn't that the version with the graghic in double with the Nutech cdg's?

No doubt that an update is recommended.

First I would like to thank all for the quick responce, as last time.

George;
Yes you helped me find that my computer didn't have as much video memory as the manufacturer said it had.
After quite a while and many phone calls I got my problems with them solved. Then I installed an NVIDA GeForce4 MX420 Video Card. That seemed to clear up the problem i had.
Then I got busy, retired to Missouri on 80 acres and I haven't had much time for computing.
Now I'm making time and trying to catch up.
I'll update soon and see if that clears up my problems.

Thanks again for the rapid responce,
Dennis

Commercial CDGs don't play in Micro Studio

George;
Well I'm back again.
I upgraded both programs but Micro Studios only plays CDGs that were made with KHPRO.
The music Plays but I don't get any graphics with commercial CDGs.
I havent tried making a CDG with the new version of KHPRO So I don't know if that fixed the other problem.

Thanks,
Dennis

Make sure your software drivers are updated

What you are reporting is a system related problem, not inherent in Microstudio.

1. You should do all your Windows Upgrades to insure you have all their changes.

2. Also, I would suggest you upgrade to DirectX 9.0b, which is the latest.

3. Also, make sure your video and audio drivers are updated. It is best to get drivers from the manufacturer's web site, not use the Windows "standard" drivers, which often are not very good. :r

Let us know what you find.

If you keep having problems, run the DXDIAG diagnostic program and attach the log in your next post in this Thread. That will give us all a good starting point to troubleshoot the problem with you. :w
