Ripping rate?
I'm new to using Hoster and wanted to see what everyone else is ripping at. I'm doing 96K as I have about 5,000 songs or more and a 60G hard drive in my laptop.
Is 96K sufficient or should I start ripping at a higher rate? |

Let your ear be your own guide. I started at 128, but after really listening, I couldn't tell any difference in using 96. So that's what I use. I also have a 60 gig. (also one for back up) Have 6,500 songs and still have around 21 gig left. Kelly |
Thanks for the reply. If I relied on my hearing I'm in trouble. I wear hearing aids. I guess I'll continue to rip at 96K since you didn't notice any difference. I wonder how much difference an Average Joe would notice anyway.

The ONLY comment I have had in reference to Hoster vs my old Sony and discs is that the music "sounds cleaner!" IMO, Hoster blows MP3 away! Kelly:w |
