Detect Drives shows NO drives at all ... my fix

Heer is the solution that I found … and I worked on this for three hrs to find it.

Here are my system specs:
· AMD Athlon 2500+
· MSI K7N2 MD – nForce2 Chipset (Current BIOS)
· IDA ATA/ATAPI Controllers – Nvidia nForce2 SPP/IGP ATA Controller set to Ultra DMA 2 - Ultra33
· Plextor 48x24x48x Burner (Current BIOS)
· Toshiba DVD-ROM SDM1502
· 512 RAM
· 80 GB HD
· SB Live 5.1
· Windows 2K Pro – SP3 (2 day old install)
· DirectX 9.0
· Microstudio 2.400

ASPI:
· ASPI32.SYS – 4.71.2
· WOWPOST.EXE – 4.6
· WINASPI.DLL – 4.6
· WNASPI32.DLL – 4.71.2

WnAspiNT.DLL: ASPI for Win32 (NT/2K/XP) DLL
· Product Version - V1.16
· File Version – 1.0.0.1

After installing every WNASPI32.DLL I could find, I found that I had one in my NERO install that had a COMPLETELY different version number - 2.0.1.59 so I replaced the one in the Sys32 folder with it and it works.

So the lesson is this: TRY EVERYTHING you can get your hands on.
