Disable Auto Insert and Enable DMA
 

:? Newly installed microstudio software.

Warning was "Disable Auto Insert Notification and Enable DMA"

Was told that Adaptec software (if installed) would automatically turn the disable auto insert back on.

I do have Adaptec software installed.

When I tried to disable the insert notification and enable, the DMA said:

DMA might not be compatible with your computer, hard drive or CD-ROM drive. Contact your hardware mfr. or check their website to verify that the hardware device supports DMA?

I am running into things I don't understand even before I try learn how to use the software.

Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Go ahead and disable Auto Insert and Enable DMA. The message you are getting is a standard Windows message and won’t hurt your system.
