preview display problems

hello,
i'm using karaoke pro v1.710 and microeditorv5.5.
although i am not new to karaoke authoring packages, i am new to this software.
all i want to be able to do is sync lyrics to a track and burn the final cd&g.
i have managed to get the audio into the project area, and have begun syncing the lyrics, but everytime i try to preview it the display is garbled with overlapping lines, black faint text and a significant time delay betwwen audio and lyric display.
the line breaks and page breaks are something i am not used to....do i need to add a <c> at the beginning of my project?

are there any fundamental basic settings that i need to action?
it could be that i am missing a very simple function here.

any help appreciated
thanks in anticipation

Janice,
It seems that on the Karaoke Pro Workstation that you must have your color depth, in the display properties set to 16 bit, if you set it to 32 bit you will have problems.

Try this:
1) Right click anywhere on the desktop where there is no icon.
2) Left click on Properties. This will bring up the display properties.
3) Click on the settings tab.
4) Under the Color selection on the left hand side, make sure this is set to 16 bit. Then apply this and close the dialog. Then reopen Microeditor/Karaoke Pro and try again.

Let me know if this fixes it for you.

hi,
thanks for the quick response.
yes i have already tried this...read it on another post.
i have actually managed to sort this out a bit, although it's still not perfect.....but the lyrics are way behind the music...and do i need to put a page break icon after the initial title screen?

can i also alter the line spaces so that the text lines are closer together in the display?

thanks
janice
