Detecting Drives problem
I am having a problem with Microstudio detecting drives. My configuration is this:
Microstudio 2.400 Windows 2000 PlexWriter PX-W4824TA (installed 3/17/03) Our IT department has just finished a network reconfiguration. Before the change I was able to detect the internal CD-ROM and import CD audio. Now after the change and after installing a Plextor PX-W4824TA, Microstudio will not detect any drives. Also, any software or hardware alterations must be performed by an administrator. :( Currently, both CD drives show up on Windows explorer and I am able to play audio from both using Windows Media Player. Any suggestions or help will be appreciated. Thanks Kevin |

Check your ASPI Drivers
BHipp,
You may need to update your ASPI drivers. Here is a link for instructions on what to do: http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php...g+Plextor+Drive Good luck, Jon |
John is correct on the ASPI drivers being the main culperate. This is the only thing that can make the drive not show up that I am aware of. Please try reinstalling both versions of the drivers, MTU's drivers and also Adaptecs to see which one will work.
