Help lyrics problem!!!!!
:r Hi all long time since I've been here, but I've got a small problem. When I import lyrics from a file to KHPro, The words are on one line?!?!?
Every time I hit the enter key to go to the next line I get blocks. I know It's very hard to explain!!! It's almost like this: (enter key hit numerous times) oh baby, baby@@@@@@@ (The @ represents a block) and it won't let me advance to the next line. when I hit the enter key it keeps going on the same line. Any ideas, I'm really lost............boy, I feel dumb!!! TIA :? :t |
Tia,
Are you preparing your lyrics in plain text files in either notepad or wordpad? Jon |
Problem solved below.
|
Thanks guys, but the problem still exists if I import lyrics or create my own.
I am using notepad for my .txt files. This just started happening about two weeks ago and I've done nothing to change my system. Here's what I'm running: XP AMD XP1900 cpu msi k7t turbo mobo 512 mb pc133 microstudio vogone 2 KHPro I'm wondering if maybe my keyboard is having problems or I hit something (key) on accident an didn't know it. I'm still trying!!! Tia (stands for thanks in advance) |
Oh I forgot something. even if I type in my lyrics in KHPro, It does the same thing. is ther something wrong with my producer???
|
This may sound crazy, but I would try another keyboard. It seems that your computer might not be getting the right keyboard character commands.
Kpro imports lyrics, perfectly! Good luck |
Forced line
It sounds like if the end of the lines have a forced line (what you get when you hold <alt> and hit the return key. Perhaps your keyboard has a bad <alt> key?
|
new keyboard on the way!!
I'm not sure if it is the problem though. When I type in MSword or notepad, it types fine. When I got to the next line, and hit the enter key, it works perfectly. But I will try a new keyboard and see what happens. Thanks guys Kemo |
Kemo-z,
Have you tried using a restore point to a date you know things were working right? George |
Haven't tried that yet but I'll do that asap.
Thanks george Kemo |
George, you da man!!!
The restore worked!! It had to be microsofts hotfixes. Can't they create a problem free windows?? NOT!! I just want to say thanks to all who have helped me with this problem. I'm forever greatful!! I also have an idea for MTU. Create a site, like mp3.com, where people can submit their OWN music and get tips from other karaoke creators on how to make their work better. Just a thought thanks again all Kemo |
Good idea...but
Kemo-Z
Your idea about sharing/constructively critizing/improving your CDG-making is a great idea. Howver a couple of years ago it was suggested and turned down because of copyright problems. However, if we can make this work I will be the first to submit some of my CDGs for people to evaluate. Hope it goes through this time BANDL |
Right on sounds great!
Looks as if I'll start the site myself. As soon as I get it running, I'll post a string for all those interested!! Good luck, Kemo |
when i download the devocalized version of the song and import lyrics, i go to set the words and sync the song w/the music.
after i sync the song w/ the music i test the song through the cd+g player. now here's the tricky part. when the song starts to play, the words are scrambled (Broken UP) and when the words are highlighted on the screen it looks terrible. i need help (step by step) to assure that i am doing the correct think 1. does the fonts have to be a certain size? 2. are there certian settings that my computer should have 2 i am using windows me should i be using another operating software? please help :g thank you(Broken UP) |
Dear Broken Up
I'm not sure what steps we are talking about here.
Quote: after i sync the song w/ the music i test the song through the cd+g player. Are you saying that: 1. After you sync the lyrics you test it with the "Play Screen" option? 2. You export to CDG, and play it with microstudio? 3. You export to CDG, burn to disc and play the disc in either microstudio or a stand alone player? In times past, I had trouble playing perfectly good created files in KHPRO. (What version are we talking about??) I relied on microstudio after exporting to CDG. Before reaching any rash conclusions, I suggest that you at least check the cdg file in Microstudio. If that file is good, then the disc should be good provided your burner is doing the right thing. Settings do affect whether some words are shown properly etc. But you describe a problem that sounds a little different from the thread below. But, for your enjoyment: http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?threadid=2329 Good Luck:) |
